Tired ★ Thursday, August 12, 2010

O M G I am very tired. It is only second day of school after such a long holiday. But still I am tired. However, I love my condense time table for a time being. Next week, it will not be this relaxed. All the stupid remedial which take up all my revision time. damn it. My book is getting more interesting. There is a lot of economic and political jokes that make me laugh in the mrt. One very interesting part was, "There is no more mint chocolate chip, there is no more strawberry swirl and there is no more lemon-lime. Today there is only free-market vanilla and North Korea. There can be different brands of free-market vanilla and you can adjust your society to it by going faster or slower. But, in the end, if you want higher standards of living in a world without walls, the free market is the only ideological alternative left. One road. Different speeds. But one road" I am extremely amazed by how he liken the concept of "globalisation is not a choice but reality" to different flavours of ice cream versus vanilla. I laughed when he said there is only free-market vanilla and North Korea because it is so true. I want to comment more on what I feel but due to the language barriers, I shall stop it. hahaha. sad! I will write on hello kitty. Anyway, this book is very interesting once again. and now I am reading middle section of the book which is the most important and exciting part. The author just started to talk about how important ELECTRONIC HERDS are. These Electronic Herds mean those faceless stock, bond and currency traders blahblah. He is going to explain to me why in globalised world, countries cannot achieve economic growth at fast pace without the help of Electronic Herds. People might say, "Isn't the reason so obvious why they cannot achieve economic growth without Electornic Herds?", so what's the reason? I tried to think of that "obvious reason" but I failed to come up with the clear reasons to justify why Electronic Herds are so important. When we cannot even see them. They are really just a piece of paper or invisible promises. I am going to find out more from this writer uncle so byebye!
